Attunity has released Attunity Managed File Transfer (MFT) for Hadoop. This new enterprise data transfer solution is designed to accelerate Big Data collection processes and integrate them seamlessly in and out of Hadoop. According to Attunity, this solution lets organizations collect and transfer Big Data in the cloud and enterprise data centers for strategic initiatives such as log and machine-data analytics, business intelligence (BI), and data archiving.
The new solution is designed to overcome the Big Data bottleneck by providing enterprises with a gateway to the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), which is a distributed file system that enables scalable storage and processing of Internet-scale Big Data. Attunity MFT for Hadoop facilitates the process of transferring data to HDFS by providing capabilities, such as automation, scheduling, security, and auditing. In addition, Attunity MFT for Hadoop is seamlessly integrated into HDFS and lets users move data in and out of Hadoop in batch or real time.
The latest version includes several improvements, including the following:
- The solution includes enterprise-scale automation and scheduling for IT processes that collect and transfer data into HDFS.
- Advanced dashboards and notifications help monitor and control data transfer.
- There's support for any Hadoop distribution based on HDFS 1.0 or higher.
- A Web Services API provides seamless integration for enterprise business platforms, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
