Hummingbird Communications and SuSE announced that the Hummingbird Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) core engine will be included in SuSE’s Linux distribution. The agreement enhances Hummingbird’s presence in an expanding Linux solutions market. “We’re very pleased that Hummingbird’s strong relationship with SuSE has now expanded into the portal arena,” says Hummingbird President Barry Litwin. “The inclusion of the Hummingbird EIP core engine in the SuSE Linux distribution provides organizations with a head start to deploy enterprise information portals on the high-performance Linux platform.” In addition, an agreement with Powerize.com will help Hummingbird provide customers with customized vertical EIP solutions that will deliver advanced personalized access to business information.
