PowerPivot for Excel Download Now Available

SQL Server 2008 R2 News

SQL Server 2008 R2 PowerPivot downloads for Microsoft Excel 2010 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 are now available for a limited trial to those previewing the Office 2010 beta, according to a Microsoft press release.

PowerPivot for Excel is a managed self-service business intelligence (BI) add-in for SQL Server 2008 R2 that lets business users perform data analysis and create and share Excel 2010 workbook applications without burdening the IT department. DBAs and IT pros will be able to manage users’ applications.
