Survey Process

SQL Server Magazine conducted its annual salary survey from August 23, 2005, to September 6, 2005. We sent 30,000 invitations to SQL Server professionals who have opted to receive information from the magazine. We promoted the survey in our UPDATE email newsletters and on our Web site. We offered five $100 American Express gift certificates as an incentive to participate in the survey. A total of 775 respondents provided data for the 61-question survey by the close date. 78 percent of respondents subscribe to SQL Server Magazine.
